This webinar is a collaboration between Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia and the Muslim Association of Lawyers in Nigeria (MULAN). I was sharing with the audience on three critical legal issues surrounding social media.
The three issues are: firstly, the controversial nature of social media: a Public or Private domain?; Secondly, I was discussing on the hotly debated issue of platform content; and Thirdly, the issue of data protection in social media.
Spoke alongside with me is Mr. Kazeem A. Oyinwola who is a practicing lawyer in Nigeria. Acted as the moderator was Dr Sodiq Omoola my colleage at AIKOL, IIUM. We had a good discussion, with attendance from mainly both countries Malaysia and Nigeria.
